If you find yourself wandering through the charming neighborhood of Jiyugaoka in Tokyo, make sure to stop by Bread, Espresso & Jiyugata. This delightful café on the third floor of Luz Jiyugaoka blends a cozy atmosphere with a unique culinary twist that centers around their signature offerings: freshly baked bread and expertly crafted coffee.

The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the inviting aroma of warm bread and rich espresso that instantly sets a comforting tone. The café has a modern yet relaxed vibe, adorned with clean lines and a touch of rustic charm. With a small terrace area offering fresh air and a beautiful view of the bustling street below, you can escape the city noise while savoring your meal.

As for the menu, Bread, Espresso & Jiyugata truly excels. The **Plate Menu** is available until the afternoon, featuring enticing options like the ムッフルプレート (Muffle Plate), piled high with muffle, salad, carrot shreds, tomato, sausage, yogurt, and a drizzle of maple syrup for just JP¥1,800. If you crave a savory start to your day, their ベーコンエッグムッフルプレート (Bacon and Egg Muffle Plate) offers a delicious mix of flavors that will keep you satisfied.

For those looking to satisfy their afternoon sweet tooth, the **Dessert Menu** is not to be missed. Try the ムーのフレンチトースト (Mou French Toast)—a heavenly dish that will have your taste buds dancing. Or indulge in one of their luxurious tiramisu options, including the popular ムーのエスプレッソティラミス (Moo's Espresso Tiramisu), which is rich with coffee flavor and delightfully creamy for just JP¥950.

Customer reviews highlight the café's appeal, with Justin Shircliff appreciating the unique setup and ambiance, although he noted a desire for more variety in the bread offerings. Meanwhile, Daria P enthused over the incredible chocolate mint tiramisu, praising its presentation and taste. The delightful terrace seating, as pointed out by Jens Y, adds a lovely dimension to your dining experience, particularly on a sunny day. Visitors can feel confident that Bread, Espresso & Jiyugata takes hygiene seriously, which is an added reassurance during these times.

Overall, if you’re in the mood for a cultural pause filled with exceptional food and a contemporary retreat, make your way to Bread, Espresso & Jiyugata. It’s a café that not only serves delectable dishes but also creates memorable experiences that are bound to lure you back for more.

I was looking for a stop to have a quick coffee and came across this place. The setup is interesting, with coffee and bread as the highlights, and some other food and drink offerings as well. The tiramisu seems to be popular. Nothing on the bread menu piqued my interest, so I went with an iced coffee (no pour over here). It was good. The ambiance is cool with a little terrace for outside seating. The staff were friendly and the service fast.

Cute cafe, very clean as they sanitize everything. Ice cappuccino is so good. Cons: no wifi, most seating very uncomfortable

Time limited chocolate mint tiramisu was amazing. Pretty, big, tasty! If the weather permits I recommend terrace seating. At the next visit I want to try their lunch menu. Be aware of one drink per person and 90 minute time limit.

Good paninis and broad selection of sweet and savoury breads. Small narrow layout, but a grand outdoor balcony area too. The bakery is on the first floor, so you have to go downstairs to buy bread to eat in the cafe on the third floor.

Balcony was really nice and the French toast was amazing as well. BTW, the staff take COVID seriously, they sanitize menu after use. Respect that! Staff’s signature was super cute as well.

Nice atmosphere and decor. Good coffee, bread and pastries. You can purchase the breads to go and the bakery “Nantoka Espresso” on the 1F is owned by same owner. It will take approximately 4-5 mins walk from Jiyugaoka Station.

Took a seat and ordered drinks, cafe latte is very recommended! They have a separate store downstairs for bread, you can buy and bring them back upstairs. They will heat it up and serve you! There are seats at the open terrace to be enjoyed, too bad it was raining huhu..

Cool interior architecture, 3rd floor, outdoor seating. We only came here for a drink, but looks like you can get food here, or order from the bakery downstairs to bring up to have at the cafe.
